About this service

The full scope.

Failed stucco traps moisture behind the finish and quietly damages sheathing, framing and window openings. We remove the failed system, repair the substrate and rebuild it with a proper drainage plane and new finish.

Failed stucco is rarely just a cosmetic problem. When moisture gets behind the finish, it can rot sheathing, damage framing and create the conditions for mold—often without any obvious sign on the surface. At Avany Contractors we treat stucco remediation as a structural repair, not a patch job.

Every project starts with a close inspection of the stucco, substrate, flashing and window openings. We tap and probe the surface, check moisture readings and document what we find with photos. If a repair is the honest answer, we say so; when the system has failed, we remove the damaged stucco down to sound sheathing and rebuild it correctly.

Our crews repair or replace the substrate, install a proper weather-resistive barrier and drainage plane, and detail windows, doors and penetrations so water drains out instead of in. Then we apply the new stucco system and finish to match the home. Based in Trenton and serving New Jersey and Pennsylvania, we keep the site clean, protect landscaping and back the work with our workmanship guarantee.

Common signs include cracking, bubbling, soft or hollow areas, water stains on interior walls, and moisture around windows and doors. A professional inspection with moisture readings confirms whether the problem is cosmetic or structural.

Most homes take one to three weeks depending on the square footage, the condition of the sheathing and how many windows and doors need re-flashing. We give you a realistic schedule before work begins.

Yes. Removing stucco without correcting the flashing and drainage details only hides the problem. We repair the substrate, install a drainage plane and re-flash openings so water is directed away from the wall.
